Johannesburg, South Africa •• Aug. 28, 2002 •• SolarQuest® iNet News Service •• As a part of a 4 student team from UCT that has been attending and reporting on the summit, it has been more then just exciting seeing the Summit in action. The vibe in Joburg has been one of dynamism, with all who are attending the Summit eager to make a big a difference as is possible.

It is even more interesting from the perspective of an Environmental Science student, as the Summit is dealing with subjects that we engage with in class on a daily basis, for example urban issues in third world nations.

I am hoping that I will be able to leave the Summit with a more thorough understanding of the subjects that interest me so much as well as having been able to witness a global gathering like one that has never been seen before.
