At these events, the ICT partnership (Orblynx, ICORE and EcoSage) will announce its ICT initiative (to a degree of specificity yet to be determined).

In the sense that actions speak louder than words, by including youth representatives in an active role at these critical international meetings, the iNet News Team will express the hope of the ICT partnership's mission, helping future leaders to advocate for a more sustainable world.

A team of 10 students and 2 supervising adults will be selected. Because of its existing outreach programs, EcoSage will recruit youth specifically from the USA, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Uganda. Youth from other countries may also be included.

In advance of the event, youth will be required to investigate certain topics on the agenda of the meetings and to develop their constituencies. Upon arrival in New York they will be briefed on their responsibilities, trained in the use of the SolarQuest Virtual NewsRoom, and given their assignments. After the events but prior to their departure, iNet News Team members will be given additional time to write articles and feature stories, and debriefing sessions will be held. Total duration of their activities may be 2 weeks.
