•• July 12, 2002 •• SolarQuest® iNet News Service •• SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA (June 7, 2002) – Kyocera Solar, Inc. today announced the sale of Sunelco, its catalog and retail sales division in Hamilton, Montana, to Tom Bishop, a long-time Sunelco employee and division manager. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Bishop has formed a new company, Sunelco, Inc., that is an authorized dealer of Kyocera solar products.

Bishop, now owner and president of Sunelco, Inc., stated, “I thank Kyocera for giving Sunelco the opportunity to continue our tradition of providing quality service, and I look forward to a prosperous and rewarding relationship as part of the Kyocera Solar, Inc. dealer network. I also offer my thanks to all of the Kyocera people whom we have worked with over the past seven years.”

Kyocera Solar, Inc. will continue to focus on providing quality solar-related products and solutions in the areas of residential and commercial grid-tie, industrial systems, and water pumping to its dealer/OEM customer base.
