Introduction of the Third Inet News Team member: Pippa Harris
by Pippa H
The World Summit on Sustainable Development
source: iNetNews

Johannesburg, South Africa •• Aug. 22, 2002 •• SolarQuest® iNet News Service •• My name is Pippa Harris and I am studying Environmental Science and Economics at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. I will be attending the Earth Summit 2002 in a reporting capacity - we will be looking at the parallel and side events, listening in on various discussions and debates and generally getting a feel for what this conference is wanting to achieve (and how it will go about implementing its objectives). This comes as an exciting opportunity for me (considering my line of study) to interact with different personalities and learn more about global patterns of decision-making and negotiation. I look forward to the coming week and to expanding my knowledge and skills, but mostly to being a part of this international event!
