Oil Crisis News from Around the World
source: The Coming Global Oil Crisis

•• June 4, 2004 •• SolarQuest® iNet News Service •• My organization, the Post Carbon Institute http://www.postcarbon.org, is an initiative of Metafoundation, a non profit organization. We are working to raise the awareness of the coming energy crisis and working with communities to start experimenting. We advocate Global Relocalization of our communities as best choice for easing the transition into the Post Carbon Age. The result of the Global Relocalization process would be locally sustainable communities that do not rely on non-renewable hydrocarbons (such as oil and gas). Though Global Relocalization has hooks into many issue movements that promise a more socially just and peaceful future, it is grounded in local food, energy, money, ownership, and governance.
