Racing solar cars isn't so easy for a teen-aged kid. In this race I took a trip to Maine. In this process to build a solar car no idea is a bad idea. In my trip to Maine I learned many things that may help me later in my life. I learned that solar is not always the most dependable, in solar car racing gear ratios are the key factor in doing your best. In this race I thought alot about what I was doing before I proceeded to do it. In a solar car weight is a key factor and you should always have back up plans. Overall I think I learned alot about what goes into construcution of one of these cars. I would like to thank my Poppop Ronny, the Dover Post, The Hobby Outlet, Mr. John Posden, and also the people that made this great event possible.
