Task 2: Finding out the True Costs • Due Date: 1/7/1999
When examining the cost of energy production, alternative energies usually cost a lot more than other methods of power production. Why is this? This is because we are not taking into the account of the true costs of all the forms of energy production. The true cost is not only what we as consumer pay out of our pockets; it is what the environmental damage caused in the mining and transportation of the fossil fuels and the emissions that come from the production of the power. If all of these costs are figured into the equation alternative energy comes out shining in comparison to fossil fuel sources of power production.
