Please remember that the website address has changed to www.getf.org/ntmsustainableamerica. Don’t miss the program highlights for this week on the website! Some other activities to look for are the Detroit site visits. There will be a link for site visits available on the website early next week. 2. **EXHIBITORS** Exhibit space is still available for anyone interested in showcasing their sustainability efforts. The deadline for five non-profit organizations of $500 has been extended by popular request to April 14, 1999. All five registration forms should be mailed together with payment to the Global Environment & Technology Foundation, 7010 Little River Turnpike, Suite 300, Annandale, Virginia 22003 no later than April 14, 1999. A check from each organization is acceptable. 3. **JOURNEY TO DETROIT EVENTS** Here’s a look at some of the events happening this week around the country. The CERES 10th Anniversary is kicking off April 8-9, 1999 in New York, New York. The Sustainability Judging of Colorado State Science and Engineering Fair is scheduled for April 8-9, 1999 in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Campus Sustainability Workshop is scheduled in Montclair, New Jersey April 9, 1999. Managing Growth for the 21st Century is scheduled in Williamsburg, Virginia April 9, 1999. Please visit the website at www.getf.org/ntmsustainableamerica for more details on the mentioned events and to see what else is scheduled around the U.S. 4. **SCHOLARSHIPS** The deadline for any scholarship involving travel and hotel accommodations is April 8, 1999. Scholarships requesting assistance with registration fees for attending and exhibiting or reduced rates will continue to be accepted. Visit the website for the latest details concerning availability and rates. 6. **COMMITMENTS** Commitments are being made by companies, organizations, communities and individuals from all over the country. Do your part by making a commitment to a sustainable America. Everyone who makes a commitment will be eligible to win one of two Compaq computers which will be donated to a school of the winner’s choice. The first drawing will take place at the National Youth Roundtable, the second drawing will be made June 1, 1999. Some examples of the commitments being made are: Buying organic, shade-grown coffee (Individual in Colorado). Building Sustainable Beaches is committed to increasing public awareness of beach environmental, health and safety issues. One organization will plant a tree for every trip that is taken between January 1-May 5, 1999.
