I'll probably try and get a conf. call or meeting together to discuss this. be well, 2) PV and Schools The U.S. Department of Energy has released Supplemental Announcement #12, titled "Photovoltaics for Schools" under the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's Broad Based Solicitation Involving Research, Development and Demonstration. DOE seeks proposals to develop and demonstrate a model for integrating photovoltaics (PV) into middle school and high school buildings and education programs. The PV installations are intended to produce electricity for the reduction of utility costs and serve as teaching aids for the introduction of renewable energy into each school's science program. Applicants are encouraged, but not required, to form partnerships with school district(s), the U.S. photovoltaic power industry, National Laboratories, the utility industry, academic institutions, and community groups. $100K available, 1-2 cooperative agreements expected. 50% cost share required.
