Report: Questions For The African Energy Ministers and Businesses
1. What percentage of the population has electricity?
2. What is your current method of preserving food?
3. Nigeria is the largest producer of oil and natural gas in Africa. It has enough gas to supply all the oil and gas needs of the West African region. Why are these resources not being used to help the region and what are future plans on this issue.
4. In what way(s) can the United States help with African energy issues?
5. What United States businesses are you interested in doing business with?
6. This question is to the business exhibitors: What special training will African countries wanting to
consider your product need?
7. What employment opportunities are available in Africa for graduates who have studied in this field?
8. Does the government export oil, if so what percentage of revenue is used in this capacity to ensure that there is no shortage of gasoline in the country?
9. What is being done to ensure adequate supply of natural gas in all homes as we approach the beginning of a new millennium?
10. One of the major problems confronting African countries is administrative decentralization. What is the government doing to centralize all apparatus of the government to ensure accountability?
