Report: Questions for Energy Ministers, by Ethel Johnson
1) Millions of Africans in the southern region are without electrical power. What solutions are being implemented to provide those people in southern African regions with electrical power.

2)Kenya, Egypt, Nigeria and South Africa are considered by many to be African regional "superpowers." So what type of nuclear programs do those countries (and surrounding ones) have?

3) If they are not nuclear capable, what type of defense systems are in place for them [the respective countries], to protect their national security?

4) What type of system(s) would be required to put Africa "on-line," as most of the Western world, and how feasible would these systems be to implement?

5) Are there already such systems in place? Where? When did they begin and who is funding them?

6) In light of the recent tragic accident with Egyptair flight 990, what type of research is being done in Egypt, as well as with other countries, to prevent an accident of this type from occuring again?

7) What are the most recent energy department programs in [the respective countries], and what did they accomplish (or what are they expected to accomplish)?
