Report: Students Receive Crash Course in International Relations
The eleven students of the INetNews team have been turning and burning from the beginning to the end as they handle the task of interviewing and interacting with high profile national figures during the U.S.-Africa Energy Ministers Conference held in Tucson, Arizona. The students were selected from six Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the United States to serve as correspondants for the conference. The participating institutions and the students representing them include: Bethune-Cookman College: Carsceal Turner, Lisa Deaderick and Mavis Donkor, Clark Atlanta University: Erika Alexander, Chaundra Frierson and Ethel Johnson, Howard University:Linsey McDaniel and TitiOdunfa, Mississippi Valley State University: Andrew Banyon, Tuskegee University: Mayard Williams and Coppin State University: Mitchell Mock.

The student reporters have obtained interviews from dignitaries ranging from Ministers of Energy and Minerals from different African countries to exhibitors who are promoting a wide array of products and services for overseas consumption to the Secretary of Energy Bill Richardson. Thorughout the three day event they have not skipped a beat.

The students were selected based on thier majors while in school and thier particular interest in foreign affairs, particularly sustainable development of countries in Africa. areas of study for the students include: journalism, engineering, psychology, biology, chemistry, physics and social sciences. The conference has been a exciting experience to say the least. With the fast paced schedule, it has not been at all easy get perspectives from the students themselves.
