I don't know if you are planning to use the infinite power of texas site (see other website above) with any other goals, but the activity for this task could have students obtaining a copy of a monthly electric bill and calculating the amount of pollution they are creating based on kwh monthly or annually. As an activity in the class, they could compare bills (and pollution), aggregate their bills (and contribution to pollution) and report this to the SQ school site. Here thay can compare to other schools.
This would be the best approach to get this one done. Let me know where you stand on this one. The trick to getting the calculator to work is to enter the kwh then move the mouse outside of the of the data entry box. When the mouse arrow appears, click. The numbers will calculate immediately. There should be instructions to this effect in order to help the user. Use the logo below.
